Park Place, Annapolis, Maryland
Jerome J. Parks Companies
Planned and implemented public relations and community involvement campaign that secured community support
and necessary approvals for a $200-million mixed-use private development project in downtown Annapolis.
Served as project spokesman and liaison with the media. Assisted in implementation of the project which
is nearing completion.
Two Rivers, Crofton, Maryland
Two Rivers Investors, LLC
Assisted and provided advice in securing community support and necessary approvals from Anne Arundel
County and the State of Maryland for a 1,400 acre active adult community with 1,500 dwelling units,
golf course and community amenities. Designed and proactively carried out strategies to overcome problems
and obstacles to successfully gain approvals.>
Four Seasons at Kent Island, Kent Island, Maryland
K. Hovnanian Homes
Prepared and helped achieve a strategy to obtain Chesapeake Bay Critical Area Growth Allocation and
other approvals for a proposed active adult community on Kent Island, Maryland. This work included preparation
and execution of a communications plan, arranging and conducting local events, drafting of explanatory
materials, newspaper inserts, power point presentations, brochures, etc. and preparing for and participating
in public hearings. Provided strategic public outreach input to the project team including planners,
attorneys, engineers, developers and builders.
Eastport Redevelopment Project, Annapolis, Maryland
W & P Nautical
Designed, prepared for and conducted strategy discussions and prepared a report outlining the action
steps to be taken leading to the redevelopment of waterfront property in the Eastport section of Annapolis.
Analysis included site assets and opportunities, development options and determination of persons and
organizations instrumental in achieving success. Provided ongoing strategic guidance as the proposal
progressed through the development review process.
DuPont Corporation, Delaware
Worked with DuPont Legal Department on implementation of the DuPont Legal Model, which dramatically
altered the relationship between DuPont and all outside law firms that do legal work for the company.
Work included facilitation of conferences, preparing a survey document and analyzing survey results.
National Investment Center for the Seniors Housing & Care Industry, Annapolis, Maryland
Planned and implemented organizational and communication strategies to attract institutional real estate
investment capital to the seniors housing and long term care industry. Created a separate 501(c)(3)
organization, launched national public relations campaign, initiated annual networking and deal making
conference, established national property performance database and facilitated joint ventures with industry
trade and investment groups.
